Final software workshop; using what we know.

This final workshop was a chance for us to put to the test what we have learnt over the previous workshops. We were put into small groups and given a document that had 8 defects, as a group we had to use the session to figure out what was wrong with this document.

1. The background colour doesn't extend over the bleed.

2. The registration colour has been used in the URL which is usually only used for registration marks.

 3. Pantone 7426 C and 341 C are not needed in the swatch panel as they are not part of the document colour scheme.

4. The tree silhouette link is missing.

5. Bird three link is in RGB.

6. Bird five is 72DPI (low image quality).

7. Bird one is 1897 effective DPI and needs to be 300DPI.

8. There is an RGB colour swatch that needs to be converted to CMYK.

We also learnt what we need to do to insure our document is ready to be sent off to print.
We can check to make sure all aspects of our document are in the same folder by clicking File>package.
We can also select Window>Output>Preflight. This method is not as effective because it only shows which links are missing.
